Food microbiology: 121 methods certified NF VALIDATION

As of June 05th 2015, 121 microbiological methods in the food industry including 3 antibiotic detection methods are certified NF VALIDATION. All the microbiological methods are validated according to the NF EN ISO 16140 standard protocol requirements.

During its meeting held on May 21st 2015, the NF VALIDATION “Technical Board – Food Microbiology” approved by vote:

– The validation of a new method: RHAPSODY (SOLABIA) for the enumeration of Pseudomonas spp in meat products and dairy products.

– The validation extension to the categories “feed products (25g)”, “pet foods (375g)” and “production environment samples (excluding primary production environment)” for BACGene Salmonella spp (Eurofins GeneScan).

– The validation renewal of the following methods: TAG 24 Salmonella (BioControl Systems), IBISA (bioMérieux) and TaqMan Salmonella enterica (Life Technologies).
