NF VALIDATION: July 2015 news for food microbiology validation

As of June 06th 2015, 121 microbiological methods in the food industry including 3 antibiotic detection methods are certified NF VALIDATION. All the microbiological methods are validated according to the NF EN ISO 16140 :2003 standard protocol requirements.

During its meeting held on July 2nd and 3rd 2015, the NF VALIDATION “Technical Board – Food Microbiology” approved by vote:

– The validation extension of the following methods: BACGene Salmonella spp (Eurofins GeneScan) for a new protocol with 50g up to 375g sample sizes for milk powders and infant formula with and without probiotics; RAPID’Salmonella /Agar (BIO-RAD) for a new protocol with 50g up to 375g sample sizes for milk powders, including infant formula with and without probiotics and related dehydrated dairy ingredients; ThermoScientific SureTect E. coli O157:H7 PCR Assay (OXOID Thermo Fisher Scientific) for an updated version of the related kit file of the SureTect software.

– The validation renewal of the following methods: TRANSIA PLATE Listeria (BioControl Systems), ADIAFOOD Escherichia coli O157:H7 (bioMérieux), iQ-Check Listeria spp. (BIO-RAD), MicroSEQ Listeria spp. and MicroSEQ Listeria monocytogenes (Life Technologies), Reveal 2.0 Salmonella (Neogen Europe), Salmonella Precis (OXOID Thermo Fisher Scientific), IRIS Salmonella, SESAME Salmonella TEST and COMPASS Listeria Agar Enumeration (SOLABIA).
