As of October 10th, 2017, 15 methods for microbiological analysis in water are certified NF VALIDATION. The qPCR kits for Legionella qualitative and quantitative detection are certified according to a protocol based on NF T90-471 and ISO/TS 12869 standards. The other methods are certified according to a technical protocol, developed by AFNOR Certification and based on the comparison of an alternative method to a standard method.
During its meeting held on October 10th, 2017, the NF VALIDATION “Technical Board – Water General protocol” approved by vote the validation renewals of the following methods: XplOrer64 / CheckN’Safe Enterococci (Bio-Rad), Enterolert-DW / Quanti-Tray and Colilert-18 / Quanti-Tray (IDEXX Laboratories).
The Technical Board also reviewed a certification request for a new alternative method. The validation study is in progress.
