NF VALIDATION (Agro) : News in December 2021

On January 12, 2022, the NF VALIDATION mark has been awarded to 150 methods of analysis in food microbiology, validated according to the protocol EN ISO 16140: 2003 or its new version EN ISO 16140-2: 2016. The update of the files is done progressively, at the time of renewals or extensions. The end of the transition is planned for the end of 2021. In the meantime, the 2 types of certificates remain valid.

In addition, 5 methods for the detection of antibiotic residue in food are validated according to the Validation protocol antibiotics AFNOR Certification.

Following the positive agreement of the Technical Board (TB) of Food expressend during its meeting held on December 8th and 9th 2021, AFNOR Certification has approved :

  • Certifications extensions of the BACGene Salmonella spp. method (Eurofins GENSCAN) to extend the alternative method to the use of the optional BACGene PREaser pre-treatment step to remove free DNA from samples
  • Certification renewals (according to the new EN ISO 16140-2: 2016 protocol) : RAPID’Campylobacter (BIO-RAD), LUMIprobe 24 Listeria monocytogenes (EUROPROBE), Thermo Scientific™ RapidFinder™ Salmonella species, Typhimurium and Enteritidis Multiplex PCR Kit (OXOID ThermoFisher) and COMPASS Bacillus cereus Agar (SOLABIA)
