As of February 13, 2024, the NF VALIDATION mark was assigned to 14 methods of analysis in water microbiology. Legionella PCR detection and quantification kits are validated according to NF T90-471 and ISO/TS 12869 protocols. The other methods are validated according to the technical protocol established by AFNOR Certification, consisting of a comparison of the performance of an alternative method to that of a reference method.
On the positive opinion of the Water Technical Bureau of the mark NF VALIDATION of 6 February 2024, AFNOR Certification approved:
- Renewal of the following methods:
o Pseudalert®/Quanti-Tray® and Colilert-18®/Quanti-Tray® or Quanti-Tray® 2000 from IDEXX Laboratories.
o RAPID’P. aeruginosa of the company BIO-RAD.
o COMPASS®cc Agar from SOLABIA SAS
