The methods for quantification of Legionella using PCR are certified according to a protocol based on <a title=\"NF T90-471\" href=\"http:\/\/www.boutique.afnor.org\/standard\/nf-t90-471\/water-quality-detection-and-quantification-of-legionella-and-or-legionella-pneumophila-by-concentration-and-genic-amplificatio\/article\/646642\/fa162903\" target=\"_blank\">NF T90-471<\/a> and\u00a0<a title=\"ISO\/TS 12869\" href=\"http:\/\/www.boutique.afnor.org\/norme\/iso-ts-128692012\/water-quality-detection-and-quantification-of-legionella-spp-and-or-legionella-pneumophila-by-concentration-and-genic-amplifi\/article\/805030\/xs119766\" target=\"_blank\">ISO\/TS 12869<\/a>\u00a0standards. The other methods are certified according to a specific <a title=\"technical protocol\" href=\"https:\/\/nf-validation.afnor.org\/\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/04\/NF148_Protocole-General-Validation_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">technical protocol<\/a>, developed by AFNOR Certification that compares the alternative method to a standard method.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During their meeting held\u00a0on 26th February 2015:<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Water Technical Board \u201cGeneral protocol\u201d<\/strong> validated a new method: <strong>Enterolert-E\/Quanti-Tray or Quanti-Tray 2000 <\/strong>for the enumeration of intestinal enterococci in bathing waters. Other validation files are currently submitted to examination.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Water Technical Board \u201cPCR Legionella\u201d<\/strong> revised the applicable validation protocol,\u00a0in order to integrate the requirements of the new NF T90-471 standard (issuing very soon).\u00a0The validation protocol draft and its transition modalities will be submitted to the approval of the NF Validation Experts Committee, before being published.<\/p>\n<p>Next meeting of Water Technical Board \u201cGeneral protocol\u201d : <strong>8th June 2015.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Next meeting of Water Technical Board &#8220;PCR Legionella&#8221;: <strong>14th September 2015.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As of 27th\u00a0February 2015, 15 methods for microbiological water analysis are certified NF VALIDATION.
