The methods for detection \/ quantification of <em>Legionella<\/em> using PCR are certified according to a protocol based on\u00a0<a title=\"NF T90-471\" href=\"http:\/\/www.boutique.afnor.org\/norme\/nf-t90-471\/water-quality-detection-and-quantification-of-legionella-and-or-legionella-pneumophila-by-concentration-and-genic-amplificatio\/article\/646642\/fa162903\" target=\"_blank\">NF T90-471<\/a> and <a title=\"ISO\/TS 12869\" href=\"http:\/\/www.boutique.afnor.org\/norme\/iso-ts-128692012\/water-quality-detection-and-quantification-of-legionella-spp-and-or-legionella-pneumophila-by-concentration-and-genic-amplifi\/article\/805030\/xs119766\" target=\"_blank\">ISO\/TS 12869<\/a>\u00a0standards. <\/strong><strong>The other methods are certified according to a specific\u00a0<a title=\"General technical protocol\" href=\"https:\/\/nf-validation.afnor.org\/\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/04\/NF148_Protocole-General-Validation_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">technical protocol<\/a>, developed by AFNOR Certification, that compares the alternative method to a standard method.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During its meeting held on <strong>May 13<sup><span style=\"font-size: small\">th<\/span><\/sup>, 2014<\/strong>,\u00a0the\u00a0NF VALIDATION &#8220;Technical Board &#8211; Water General protocol&#8221; approved by vote:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The validation renewal of the method <strong>Xplorer64\/Chek&#8217;N Safe <\/strong><strong><em>Enterococci<\/em> <\/strong>(Bio-Rad)<\/p>\n<p>Others new methods are currently following the validation process.<\/p>\n<p>Next meeting of the NF VALIDATION &#8220;Technical Board &#8211; Water General protocol&#8221; for 2014: <strong>November 7<span style=\"font-size: small\"><strong><sup>th\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As of May 13th, 2014, 14 methods for microbiological water analysis are certified NF VALIDATION.
