{"id":4942,"date":"2026-04-02T15:11:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-02T14:11:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nf-validation.afnor.org\/en\/?p=4942"},"modified":"2026-04-02T15:11:09","modified_gmt":"2026-04-02T14:11:09","slug":"nf-validation-food-whats-new-for-april-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nf-validation.afnor.org\/en\/food-industry\/nf-validation-food-whats-new-for-april-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"NF VALIDATION (Food): what\u2019s new for April 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On April 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, 2026, the NF VALIDATION mark was awarded to 140 food microbiology analysis methods, validated according to the ISO 16140-2: 2016 protocol and its amendment A1 (2024).<\/p>\n<p>In addition, 2 antibiotic residue screening methods have been validated in accordance with the AFNOR Certification antibiotic validation protocol.<\/p>\n<p>On the advice and recommendations of the Food Technical Board (relative majority vote) of the NF VALIDATION brand of 1 and 2 April 2026, AFNOR Certification has approved :<\/p>\n<p>\u25feThe renewal of the following methods:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>VIDAS<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> <em>Listeria<\/em>, VIDAS<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> <em>Listeria Monocytogenes<\/em> 2 (30\u00b0C Fraser), G\u00e9lose CampyFood (CFA), VIDAS<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> <em>Salmonella<\/em> (Dual selective enrichment), VIDAS<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> <em>Campylobacter<\/em> (CAM) of the company bioM\u00e9rieux,<\/li>\n<li>Neogen<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Petrifilm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Coliformes (totaux), Neogen<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Petrifilm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Coliformes (gazog\u00e8nes) et Neogen<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Petrifilm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Coliformes (thermot. Gaz+non gaz) of the company Neogen Food Safety Corporation,<\/li>\n<li>And Thermo Scientific\u2122 Listeria Precis\u2122 (Detection Listeria species) of the company OXOID SAS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u25feThe extension of the methods:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Neogen<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Petrifilm<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Rapid Coliform Count Plate (Neogen Food Safety Corporation) to allow coliforms to be enumerated within 14 to 26 hours using a single plate: use of the One Plate for testing,<\/li>\n<li>EZ-Check <em>Salmonella<\/em> spp. (BIO-RAD) to allow the addition of specific protocols for the following categories:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u25fd Infant milk powders and cereals (375g samples),<\/p>\n<p>\u25fd Heated dairy products (375g samples),<\/p>\n<p>\u25fd Raw meat (375g samples).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>iQ-Check\u2122 <em>Salmonella<\/em> spp. (BIO-RAD) to allow the addition of a specific protocol for the heated dairy products category to the matrix scope covered by the iQ-Check\u2122 <em>Salmonella<\/em> spp. method, for 375g samples enriched with skimmed milk.<\/li>\n<li>BACGene GO <em>Salmonella<\/em> (Gold Standard Diagnotics) to extend the scope of application to include the analysis of chocolate and confectionery (375g) as well as pet food and animal feed products (375g).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u25fe Updates to the TEMPO<sup>\u00ae <\/sup>methods from bioM\u00e9rieux company with the addition of a new, next-generation reading system: the TEMPO<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>+ Reader.<\/p>\n<p>Our next Agri-Food Technical Board meetings will be held on 24 and 25 June, 30 September and 1 October, and finally, 3 and 4 December 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On April 2nd, 2026, the NF VALIDATION mark was awarded to 140 food microbiology analysis methods, validated according to the ISO 16140-2: 2016 protocol and&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":30,"featured_media":4943,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[9,2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-4942","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-food-industry","category-news","post-item","post-even"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v23.8 -
