{"id":5188,"date":"2026-10-01T15:58:24","date_gmt":"2026-10-01T14:58:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nf-validation.afnor.org\/en\/?p=5188"},"modified":"2026-10-01T15:59:41","modified_gmt":"2026-10-01T14:59:41","slug":"nf-validation-food-whats-new-for-october-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nf-validation.afnor.org\/en\/news\/nf-validation-food-whats-new-for-october-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"NF VALIDATION (Food): what\u2019s new for October 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On October 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2026, the NF VALIDATION mark was awarded to 140 food microbiology analysis methods, validated according to the ISO 16140-2: 2016 protocol and its amendment A1 (2024).<\/p>\n<p>In addition, 2 antibiotic residue screening methods have been validated in accordance with the AFNOR Certification antibiotic validation protocol.<\/p>\n<p>On the advice and recommendations of the Food Technical Board (relative majority vote) of the NF VALIDATION brand of September 30<sup>th<\/sup> and 1<sup>st<\/sup> October, 2026, AFNOR Certification has approved :<\/p>\n<p>\u25feRenewal of methods:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SYMPHONY from SOLABIA SAS,<\/li>\n<li>Solus One<em> Salmonella<\/em> ELISA from Solus Scientific, a subsidiary of PERKIN ELMER,<\/li>\n<li>BAX<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> System PCR Assay <em>Salmonella <\/em> 2 from HYGIENA LLC,<\/li>\n<li>ESIA\u2122 One Day from bioM\u00e9rieux.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u25feExtension of methods:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thermo Scientific\u2122 SureTect\u2122 Salmonella species PCR Assay (OXOID Remel Microbiology, a subsidiary of Thermo Fisher Scientific) in order to extend the scope of the method to: (1) test multi-component foods and egg products (25 g), (2) include an optional step for the removal of free DNA for news categories, category PIF (protocol 1 out of 6; 375 g) and samples from the industrial production environmental samples (with BPW protocol).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BACGene GO <em>Salmonella <\/em>(Gold Standard Diagnostics) in order to extend the scope of application to the analysis of primary production environmental samples<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u25feA new laboratory has been approved to provide this service\u2014stay tuned for more information.<\/p>\n<p>Our next meetings of the Agri-Food Technical Board will be held on December 3 and 4, 2026; December 3 and 4, 2027; April 1 and 2, 2027; June 29 and 30, 2027; September 29 and 30, 2027; and December 8 and 9, 2027.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On October 1st, 2026, the NF VALIDATION mark was awarded to 140 food microbiology analysis methods, validated according to the ISO 16140-2: 2016 protocol and&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":30,"featured_media":5189,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[9,2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-5188","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-food-industry","category-news","post-item","post-even"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.0 -
