On 28th April 2025, the NF VALIDATION mark was awarded to 141 food microbiology analysis methods, validated according to the EN ISO 16140-2: 2016 protocol.
In addition, 2 antibiotic residue screening methods have been validated in accordance with the AFNOR Certification antibiotic validation protocol.
Following the positive opinion of the NF VALIDATION mark’s Agri-food Technical Board on 23rd and 24th April 2025, AFNOR Certification has approved :
- Renewal of the VIDAS® UP E. coli O157 (ECPT), TEMPO® AC (bioMérieux), Solus Salmonella ELISA, Solus Listeria ELISA (Solus Scientific Ltd.), ANSR® Salmonella (Neogen Corporation), Neogen® Molecular Detection Assay – E. coli O157, Neogen® Petrifilm® Select’ E. coli (SEC) (Neogen Food Safety Corporation) methods.
The extension of methods:
- BACARA® (bioMérieux) to allow enumeration on BACARA® 2 agar from a single plate without taking into account the requirements of ISO 7218,
- ALOA® COUNT (bioMérieux) to allow enumeration of Listeria spp. and Listeria monocytogenes on ALOA agar from a single plate without taking into account the requirements of ISO 7218,
- Thermo Scientific™ SureTect™ Listeria monocytogenes PCR Assay, Thermo Scientific™ SureTect™ Listeria species PCR Assay, Thermo Scientific™ Listeria Precis™ (Detection Listeria monocytogenes) and Thermo Scientific™ Listeria Precis™ (Detection Listeria species) (OXOID Thermo Fisher) to extend the scope to analysis of 125g samples for dairy and multi-composite foods,
- Assurance® GDS MPX for Top 7 STEC, Assurance® MPX ID for STEC, Assurance® GDS EHEC ID for E. coli 0157:H7 Tq (Millipore Sigma – Merck Group) to extend the field of application to :
- Raw meats and RTC meats up to 25g 6-24h,
- Raw poultry, RTC, RTRH and RTE poultry up to 25g 8-24h,
- Raw milk and dairy products up to 25g 10-24h,
- And industrial production environmental samples for : 4′ x 4′ sponge (soaked in 10ml D/E broth) or 25ml or 25g.
- SYMPHONY (SOLABIA SAS) to extend the field of application to the analysis of samples from the industrial production environmental samples and to allow the user to enumerate on a single box instead of two without taking into account the requirements of ISO 7218,
- COMPASS® Bacillus cereus Agar and COMPASS® Listeria Agar (enumeration) (SOLABIA SAS) to allow the user to enumerate on a single box instead of two without taking into account the requirements of ISO 7218
- Neogen®Petrifilm® Rapid Yeast and Mold Count Plate (Neogen Food Safety Corporation) to enable use of the One Plate for testing,
