On October 1st, 2026, the NF VALIDATION mark was awarded to 140 food microbiology analysis methods, validated according to the ISO 16140-2: 2016 protocol and its amendment A1 (2024).
In addition, 2 antibiotic residue screening methods have been validated in accordance with the AFNOR Certification antibiotic validation protocol.
On the advice and recommendations of the Food Technical Board (relative majority vote) of the NF VALIDATION brand of September 30th and 1st October, 2026, AFNOR Certification has approved :
◾Renewal of methods:
- SYMPHONY from SOLABIA SAS,
- Solus One Salmonella ELISA from Solus Scientific, a subsidiary of PERKIN ELMER,
- BAX® System PCR Assay Salmonella 2 from HYGIENA LLC,
- ESIA™ One Day from bioMérieux.
◾Extension of methods:
- Thermo Scientific™ SureTect™ Salmonella species PCR Assay (OXOID Remel Microbiology, a subsidiary of Thermo Fisher Scientific) in order to extend the scope of the method to: (1) test multi-component foods and egg products (25 g), (2) include an optional step for the removal of free DNA for news categories, category PIF (protocol 1 out of 6; 375 g) and samples from the industrial production environmental samples (with BPW protocol).
- BACGene GO Salmonella (Gold Standard Diagnostics) in order to extend the scope of application to the analysis of primary production environmental samples
