NF VALIDATION (Food) : News of April 2020

As of May 11th 2020, 142 alternative methods for microbiological analysis in food are certified NF VALIDATION, validated according to the protocol EN ISO 16140: 2003 or its new version EN ISO 16140-2: 2016. The update of the files is done gradually, on the occasion of renewals or extensions. The end of transition is scheduled for 2021. In the meantime, the 2 types of certificates are still valid.

In addition, 4 methods for the detection of antibiotics residues in food are validated according to the Validation protocol antibiotics of AFNOR Certification.

Following the positive agreement of the Technical Board (TC) expressed during its meeting held on 2nd  and 30th April 2020, AFNOR Certification approved

  •  The validation of the alternative method TEMPO® CAM (bioMérieux) for enumeration of thermotolerant Campylobacter species.
  •  The certification extensions for : SALMA® One Day, VIDAS ® Easy Salmonella et VIDAS® UP Salmonella (SPT) (bioMérieux) in order to validate new categories of products.
  •  The certification renewals (according to the new EN ISO 16140-2: 2016) of VIDAS ® UP Listeria (LPT) (bioMérieux), iQ-Check® Cronobacter spp. and RAPID’Sakazakii (BIO-RAD), and SESAME Salmonella Test® (SOLABIA SAS), One Broth One Plate for Listeria (OBOP-L), One Broth One Plate for Listeria monocytogenes (OBOP-LMO) and Reveal 2.0 Salmonella (NEOGEN Europe Ltd), 3M Molecular Detection Assay 2 -Listeria (3M France), BAX System PCR Assay Genus Listeria
    24E and BAX System PCR Assay L.monocytogenes 24E (Qualicon Diagnostics LLC).
