As of March 18th 2016, 122 alternative methods for microbiological food analysis are certified NF VALIDATION (among which 117 validated according to the standard protocol EN/ISO 16140:2003 and 5 methods validated according to the standard project ISO/FDIS 16140-2:2015). Three methods for the detection of antibiotics residues in food are validated according to an NF VALIDATION specific protocol.
During its meeting held on March 17th and 18th 2016, the NF VALIDATION “Technical Board – Food Microbiology” approved by vote:
– The validation of ANSR for Listeria monocytogenes (NEOGEN Europe Ltd) for the detection of Listeria spp. in all human food and industrial environmental samples according to the validation protocol ISO/FDIS 16140-2:2015.
– The validation extensions of the following methods: VIDAS Campylobacter and Gélose CampyFood (bioMérieux) for the possibility of using VITEK MS test for the confirmation of presumptive Campylobacter spp., Thermo Scientific SureTect Listeria monocytogenes PCR Assay (OXOID Thermo Fisher Scientific) for the possibility of using ABI 7500 Fast RT-PCR instrument and its RapidFinder Express 2.0 software for results analysis and interpretation of for meat and dairy products, and TRANSIA Plate Salmonella Gold (BioControl Systems) for a new enrichment protocol in “RVS + Novobiocin” broth.
– The validation renewal (without modification) of the following methods: VIDAS Up Listeria (bioMérieux), TRANSIA Plate Listeria monocytogenes (BioControl Systems), BAX System PCR Assay for E. coli O157:H7 MP, BAX System PCR Assay Genus Listeria 24E and BAX System PCR Assay Listeria monocytogenes 24E (DuPont Nutrition & Health), iQ-check E.coli O157:H7, iQ-Check Salmonella II and RAPID’Sakazakii (BIO-RAD), RIDASCREEN Salmonella (R-Biopham).
