NF VALIDATION (Food) : News of July 2020

As of July 27th 2020, 142 alternative methods for microbiological analysis in food are certified NF VALIDATION, validated according to the protocol EN ISO 16140: 2003 or its new version EN ISO 16140-2: 2016. The update of the files is done gradually, on the occasion of renewals or extensions. The end of transition is scheduled for 2021. In the meantime, the 2 types of certificates are still valid.

In addition, 4 methods for the detection of antibiotics residues in food are validated according to the Validation protocol antibiotics of AFNOR Certification.

Following the positive agreement of the Technical Board (TC) expressed during its meeting held on 2nd July 2020, AFNOR Certification approved

  •  The certification extensions for : RAPID’B.cereus (BIO-RAD) in order to validate two new categories of products, Thermo Scientific™ SureTect™ Salmonella species PCR AssayThermo Scientific™ SureTect™ Listeria monocytogenes PCR Assay, Thermo Scientific™ SureTect™ Listeria spp. PCR Assay, Thermo Scientific™ SureTect™ Escherichia coli O157:H7 PCR AssayThermo Scientific™ SureTect™ Cronobacter species PCR Assay et Thermo Scientific™ and RapidFinder™ Salmonella species, Typhimurium and Enteritidis Multiplex PCR Kit (OXOID Thermo Fisher Scientific) in order to validate a new version of the assay kits files used with Applied Biosystems™ 7500 Fast et QuantStudio 5 instruments .
  •  The certification renewals (according to the new EN ISO 16140-2: 2016) of 3M™ Molecular Detection Assay 2 – Listeria monocytogenes (3M France), TRANSIA® Plate Listeria monocytogenes (MilliporeSigma), GENE-UP® Listeria spp. (bioMérieux), GeneDisc® Salmonella spp. et GeneDisc® E.coli O157:H7 (Pall GeneDisc Technologies).
