News on NF VALIDATION side for water application as of March 2016

As of March 11th, 2016, 15 methods for microbiological analysis in water are certified NF VALIDATION. The  qPCR kits for Legionella qualitative and quantitative detection are certified according to a protocol based on NF T90-471 and ISO/TS 12869 standards. The other methods are certified according to a technical protocol, developed by AFNOR Certification and based on the comparison of an alternative method to a standard method.

During its meeting held on March 11th, 2016, the NF VALIDATION “Technical Board – Water General protocol” approved by vote :

– The validation of Pseudalert/Quanti-Tray method (IDEXX Laboratories) for the enumeration of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in pool water and waters for human consumption.

– The validation renewals for RAPID’P. aeruginosa Agar method (Bio-Rad) and REBECCA CF WATERS method (bioMérieux).
