As of November 25th 2016, 129 alternative methods for microbiological food analysis are certified NF VALIDATION : 112 are validated according to the protocol EN/ISO 16140:2003 and 17 according to the protocol EN/ISO 16140-2:2016. Two methods for the detection of antibiotics residues in food are validated according to the NF VALIDATION specific protocol.
During its meeting held on November 24th and 25th 2016, the NF VALIDATION “Technical Board – Food Microbiology” approved by vote:
– The validations (according to the validation protocol NF EN ISO 16140-2:2016) of three methods: 3M Molecular Detection Assay 2 – Salmonella (3M Health Care) for the detection of Salmonella spp. in all human food and production environmental samples (excluding primary production environment), 3M Petrifilm Rapid Aerobic Count Plate (3M Health Care) for the enumeration of mesophilic aerobic flora in milk powders and dairy products and GENE-UP Listeria monocytogenes (bioMérieux) for the detection of Listeria monocytogenes in meat and dairy products.
– The following validation extension: scope of GENE-UP Listeria spp. (bioMérieux) extended to all human food products and production environmental samples.
– The following validation renewals according to validation protocol NF EN ISO 16140-2:2016 for the methods: GeneDisc Salmonella spp. and GeneDisc E. coli O157 :H7 (PALL GeneDisc Technologies).
