On 5th February 2025, the NF VALIDATION mark was awarded to 14 water microbiology analysis methods. The kits for detection and quantification of Legionella by PCR are validated in accordance with the protocols of standards NF T90-471 and ISO/TS 12869. The other methods are validated in accordance with the technical protocol established by AFNOR Certification, which involves comparing the performance of an alternative method with that of a reference method.
Two draft amendments were presented, assessed at the NF VALIDATION mark’s Water Technical Board on 5th February 2025 and approved by AFNOR Certification .
